Registration Now Open for Plantpeddler’s 2026 Variety Day
On Friday, Aug. 7, 2026, the annual Plantpeddler Variety Day event will take place at the Plantpeddler Young Plant facility and Trial Gardens in Cresco, IA. More than 1500 varieties will be on display in containers, baskets, and beds. Breeder representatives will be in the gardens and available throughout the day with presentations running concurrently on the main stage, including this year’s keynote speaker, Dr. Raymond Cloyd of Kansas State University. Additionally, a trade show of event sponsors, along with greenhouse tours, round out the day, which runs from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and includes a continental breakfast and lunch.
For attendees arriving the day before, on Thursday evening, the Gooder family and the Plantpeddler team are hosting “Feast at the Farm.” Music, BBQ, and fellowship are key ingredients of the evening. Held at Stone Creek Farm, the legacy family farm, festivities will start at 6 p.m. Shuttle bus services will be available to and from area motels.
