Lantana Fuego series - GreenFusePlant trial sites around the country once again took to their gardens this summer to test hundreds of new varieties. Many varieties performed well despite unexpected weather conditions, such as extreme heat and humidity in Massachusetts and a moderate drought in Minnesota.

As the pandemic wanes, trial stations welcomed visitors back to their gardens in record numbers. Young’s Plant Farm in Auburn, AL, celebrated the 10th anniversary of its trial garden and hosted an event to recognize the occasion. Director of Garden and Programs Karen Daubmann of the Massachusetts Horticultural Society in Wellesley, MA, noted that the trial garden is its “most Instagrammed garden space.”
