Designer Cut Flowers' Cymbidium orchids on display in NYC

Cymbidium orchids from Designer Cut Flowers were among the selections on display during a recent product launch in New York City.

Designer Cut Flowers, a Miami-based importer of premium exotic flowers from Holland and Guatemala, recently hosted an event in New York City to introduce its flower portfolio to floral designers and event planners. The event — themed Passion, Petals, and Purpose — was held at atelier Maison Gerard.

“These wonderful Cymbidium orchids have been four years in the making,” stated Marta Maria Garcia, General Manager/Owner of Designer Cut Flowers. “The brilliantly colored Cymbidiums and Birds of Paradise were ready for their moment to shine.”

Based on research by Prince & Prince, Garcia says the demand for cut tropical flowers in the U.S. is on the uptick.

“Consumer sales of tropical cut flowers are projected to exceed half a billion dollars in 2018 in key markets such as New York,“ Garcia added.
