How to Properly Germinate Cannabis Seeds

When handling valuable seeds capable of producing copious amounts of quality cannabis, it’s important to achieve as high of a germination percentage as possible. For seeds that are viable and have been properly stored, there are steps will ensure that seeds germinate to fulfill their potential.

When seeds are stored correctly, they will remain viable for many years. Low temperature storage helps to break seed dormancy, as winter conditions are simulated.

Seeds should soak for 16 to 20 hours prior to planting. In addition to softening the seed coat, treatment in a solution will kill fungal pathogens, drive oxygen into the seed, and benefit germination.
