Key Resources for Cannabis Growers During COVID-19
April 10, 2020 The National Cannabis Industry Association (NCIA) is one of many organizations in the controlled-environment industry that is helping its members deal with the coronavirus pandemic.
NCIA recently established a COVID-19 Response and Resources page on its website that includes important information on what the organization is doing to assist its members.
For example, NCIA’s government relations and policy teams are evaluating potential avenues to provide relief to the industry, including sending a letter to congressional leadership urging the Small Business Administration to include cannabis companies in relief programs, exploring alternative vehicles to getting the SAFE Banking Act and 280E included in any CV19 relief package, and continuous talks with congressional allies, leadership, and various committees to explore any and every avenue for relief for the cannabis industry. This is in addition to other federal efforts the organization is making.
