Begonia 'Evi Bright Pink' is a great begonia with big, bright flowers.

Begonia 'Viking Pink' (Sakata Ornamentals)
Beautiful plant -- great growth with shiny dark leaves. Great in full sun or shade.

Vinca 'Cora XDR Punch' (Syngenta Flowers)
The “XDR” in the name means “extra disease resistance.” Highly resistant to 10 of the most virulent isolates of Phytophthora nicotianae that cause Phytophthora blight on annual vinca.

Sunpatiens 'Vigorous Sweetheart White' (Sakata Ornamentals)
Performed beautifully in trials.

Petunia 'Glamoflauge Pink Lemonade' (Kientzler)
This was a huge consumer favorite during Metrolina's open house. Variegated foliage doesn't have to mean weaker garden performance.

Evolvulus 'Blue My Mind' (Proven Winners)
An improved version of a gardener favorite, Evolvulus is one of the few true blue flowers that also has great garden performance.

Tagetes 'Endurance Yellow' (Syngenta Flowers)
Through hard work, the breeders have come up with a great marigold, trial managers say. The performance in the heat is easy to see.

Begonia 'I'conia Bacio Salmon' (Dümmen Orange)
Bacio means “kiss” in Italian. This new series has performed incredibly well performance in Metrolina's basket trial.

Caryopteris 'Camara Dark Blue' (Benary+)
This was a standout in the second-year perennial garden, overwintering well and producing abundant flowers.

A quick spreader with tons of bright pink flowers that look like little roses.

Trial managers are amazed this Dicentra has performed well and bloomed into July in full sun.

'Quartz Dark Red' bloomed through August, which is unusual for a Penstemon.
