“This event brings together hemp growers, industry vendors, educators, and researchers to discuss best practices for successful hemp production,” says Ken Fisher, President & CEO of AmericanHort. “As more ornamental plant growers look to diversify their business with hemp production, it is important that AmericanHort provide quality grower programming for this crop.”

The event is designed for greenhouse and field growers, both novice and expert alike, who are currently growing hemp or contemplating entering this market. Anyone wanting to learn more about the technical aspect of being a successful grower will benefit from participation.

The hemp education programming will be production-focused, covering topics such as the constantly evolving landscape of state and federal laws and regulations, the impact of genetics and environment on yield and quality, production inputs, identification and management of hemp pest and diseases, harvesting and processing practices, and more.
