2024 Seed to STEM Lessons | Seed Your Future
Seed Your Future has announced the release of the 2024 Seed to STEM lessons, designed to inspire high school science educators and students with the wonders of horticulture and its diverse career pathways. These cutting-edge, standards-aligned lessons are now available for free download on the Seed Your Future website.
The Seed to STEM curriculum engages students with the science of plants, sustainable solutions, and the essential role horticulture plays in our world. Developed by high school science educators who participated in the immersive professional development program, these lessons feature hands-on activities, STEM-based concepts, and career exploration opportunities. Teachers will discover dynamic materials tailored to biology, environmental science, and general science courses, making it easier than ever to connect classroom learning to real-world applications.

The lessons include:
- New Hands-On Experiments: Activities exploring plant biology, climate solutions, and sustainable food systems.
- Career Spotlights: Insight into professions such as plant scientists, environmental engineers, and greenhouse technicians.
- Teacher Guides: Step-by-step instructions and alignment with Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS).
Seed to STEM is a key part of Seed Your Future’s mission to inspire the next generation of leaders in the green-collar workforce. This program will reach thousands of educators, many of whom want to integrate horticulture into their curriculum and host student career expos.

The 2025 Seed to STEM Immersive Educator Professional Development Program will take place in Chicago from June 11–14, 2025. This year’s program is specifically designed for English, Math, and Art educators.
