Another Greenhouse Industry Survey? Yes, But Here’s Why This One Is Different

Does it seem like you’re constantly getting emails asking you to fill out a survey about something happening in the industry? Maybe so, but we really feel like Greenhouse Grower’s 2021 State of the Industry survey is worth setting aside some time to fill out.

The main reason is that the industry is at a critical point when it comes to planning ahead. The COVID-19 pandemic seemed to be on its way out, but the Delta variant flare-ups across the country have forced many of us to pump the brakes a bit.

There’s another reason we think your feedback on our survey is vital: It comes at a time when planning ahead not just for 2022, but well beyond that, is critical. Supply chain delays and material shortages mean keeping a sharp eye on how you budget expenses month to month, how you communicate with your vendors, how you plan for new projects, and perhaps most importantly, how you can give your production team the resources to produce a high-quality product on time.

This year’s State of the Industry survey includes questions about both the continued pandemic recovery and how supply chain issues are affecting you. Along the way, there are also questions about your crop mix, sales and production trends from the past year, the most significant challenges facing your business, and more.

The survey only takes a few minutes to complete, and all answers are confidential (although if you’re willing, we’d certainly like to follow up on any notable feedback you may have). Your responses give us a better idea on the topics you’re most interested in, and how we can shape our content direction. We’ll also compile all feedback (again, anonymously) into a downloadable report, where you can see for yourself where the industry is headed.
