Sakata Seed Corporation has announced that at its General Meeting of Shareholders and the Board of Directors held on Tuesday, Aug. 26, 2025, the appointment of Tsutomu Kagami as the company’s new President and Representative Director was approved, and a new management structure was decided.

“Over this time, our operating environment has changed rapidly. We face major forces: global environmental challenges, geopolitical risks, and the rise of new technologies such as genomics and AI. Precisely because of these constant changes, we must reaffirm the significance and role of our company and continue to manage with consistency.
“We will build on our strong foundation of a stable agricultural and horticultural business that delivers health and happiness worldwide since our founding. I have always believed that my mission is to create and provide something innovative that people and societies all over the world wish to have, even if they do not yet exist. This is Sakata’s identity.
