What You Can Expect to See at GreenTech Amsterdam 2023

GreenTech Amsterdam returns for 2023, taking place June 13-15 at RAI Amsterdam. The exhibition is a global meeting place for all horticultural technology professionals, with a focus on the early stages of the horticultural chain and the current issues growers are facing. GreenTech is supported by AVAG, the industry association for the greenhouse technology sector in the Netherlands.

The theme of the knowledge program this year will be “Your connection to sustainable food and flower production.” In addition, other themes include the road to a zero carbon footprint, production planning with algorithms, and future farming trends. This will be accomplished on three stages: a Vision stage, a Technology stage, and a Plant Compounds/Vertical Farming stage that will focus on vertical farming and cannabis.

Other highlights from the program include:

  • Optimizing profitability and innovativeness by working together with partners across the vegetable value chain
  • Minimize energy use and optimize crop results with smart lighting
  • The importance of collaboration and supply chain integration in the digitization transition in horticulture
  • How to reduce energy usage in your greenhouse

  • How to design the optimal greenhouse based on data
