Greenhouse Growers Day in Pennsylvania to Cover Production and Management Tips

Greenhouse and nursery operators, plant breeders, and professionals in allied trades can get the latest information on production practices and earn pesticide applicator recertification credits by attending Penn State University’s Greenhouse Growers Day on Jan. 26 at the Lancaster Farm and Home Center in Lancaster, PA.

Sponsored by Penn State Extension, Greenhouse Growers Day is an annual, one-day event that features current topics and critical information for successful greenhouse production and management. The program will focus on plant production, plant nutrition, plant health, pest management, new cultivars, and greenhouse environmental management.

Speakers will include Penn State Extension educators, university researchers, and industry representatives. The event also will provide attendees with valuable networking opportunities.

Researchers will present results from the Penn State Flower Trials, providing the most recent performance data. A silent auction is part of the program, with proceeds benefiting the Flower Trials. Pesticide recertification credits are available for Pennsylvania, Delaware, New Jersey, and Maryland.

Attendees can register by visiting the Penn State Extension website or by calling 877-345-0691. The registration deadline is Jan. 22.
