“The Oregon distribution center fulfills our long-time goal of achieving coast-to-coast coverage with all parts of our product offer,” says Craig Hyslip, Chief Operating Officer at Griffin.
The Salem branch follows the company’s hard goods and retail expansion into the Rocky Mountain region with the opening of its Aurora, CO, facility in early 2017.
Inventory at the new Salem branch will focus primarily on hard goods, along with select retail products. The product mix will include staples for greenhouse growers as well as nurseries. The warehouse will stock containers, fertilizers, chemical controls, poly film, and other items to serve both segments. Specific items and vendors will be catered to the needs and preferences of growers in the Pacific Northwest region.
Griffin is set to open its Salem, OR, branch in September.
