Learning Opportunity: Nutrient Management in Spring Crops
With spring production ramping up among growers, plans must ensure they’re making all considerations, covering all of their bases, and doing everything possible to achieve strong, healthy plants for the new season. American Floral Endowment‘s upcoming webinar, scheduled for Tuesday, Nov. 18, 2025, as part of its ongoing Grow Pro series, will cover this topic and how growers can achieve uniform growth in their spring crops while avoiding costly setbacks.
The featured speaker for “Nutrient Management Strategies for Spring Crops” is Dr. Brian Whipker, a Professor and Commercial Floriculture Extension Specialist at North Carolina State University. Whipker received his M.S. in Agricultural Economics, followed by his Ph.D. in Horticulture, at Purdue University. His statewide Extension responsibilities include commercial floriculture production with an emphasis on plant nutrition, plant growth regulators (PGRs), and crop problem diagnosis.
Willing participants can register for the webinar directly through Zoom or by visiting the Grow Pro Webinar series page on the AFE website, where information on future webinars in the series can be found.
