Get more light in your greenhouse

ReduSystems® is the global leading brand in developing coatings and cleaners for greenhouse cultivation.

Get more light in your greenhouse during the winter

Mardenkro is known for coatings that reflect excessive sunlight. Now it is time for the next phase: improving the incidence of light itself. Mardenkro has devoted a great deal of R&D to smart solutions, such as:

  • AntiCondens: prevents condensation in the greenhouse and improves light incidence by 5%
  • AntiRelfect: reduces the reflection from glass so more sunlight enters the greenhouse
  • GS-4: cleans your greenhouse and removes dirt that causes light loss

All of these solutions are coatings that can easily be applied to your greenhouse roof.

Check out our transmission, reflection and cleaning products on our website for more information.

Protect your crop this summer with the right shading

Just as you insure your home against disasters, you can also ensure that your crop is protected. A coating on the greenhouse helps you to cover those risks and protects your crop from the summer heat.

Coatings can be applied manually, with a machine or helicopter.

Let’s ask a grower

Van Lipzig Tuinderijen grows 21 acres (8.5 hectares) of cucumbers in The Netherlands. The company is constantly working on improving its crop. Coatings are perfectly suited to meet the desire for better use of the available light.

Crop manager Peter van Ninhuys (former rose grower): “After a year of experience with ReduFuse (diffuse coating), we decided to make this our new standard. It improves the light distribution and brings more light into the greenhouse, with increased photosynthesis as a result. The crop is subjected to less stress and stays much stronger. This is very noticeable in the crop’s heads. Another major advantage of the temporary coating is that you remove it in August and you simply have glass again. Then you once again capture all of the light.”

About us

Not long ago, coating the greenhouse meant keeping light out. Mardenkro, the manufacturer of ReduSystems, started by improving traditional chalk. The arrival of ReduSol was a huge step forward in greenhouse cultivation. For the first time, there was a coating that provided shade in a controlled manner, was wear-resistant but also easy to remove. ReduSol marked the start of a series of innovative products, always based on the latest scientific research.

Now we have solutions for all seasons. Light and heat-resistant coatings in the summer, where possible combined with diffuse coatings, which are also very useful in spring and autumn. During darker periods – winter, early spring, late autumn – improving the amount of light entering the greenhouse is now possible.
