Check Out This Year’s GreenTech Innovation Awards Finalists
The first virtual edition of the GreenTech conference takes place next week, with a packed lineup of presentations on topics such as improving labor efficiency, making the industry more sustainable, and helping businesses recover from the COVID-19 pandemic.
In addition to this, exhibitors at GreenTech Live & Online submitted 26 innovations for the 2020 GreenTech Innovation Awards. An expert jury selected 12 nominees from entries in three categories: Innovation, Sustainability, and Concept. The winners will be announced during the virtual opening of GreenTech Live & Online on Tuesday, Oct. 20.
Although it has been a disruptive year, the innovative character in the horticulture industry is still going strong, according to Liselotte de Vries, Chairman of the Innovation Awards Jury.
“The past year has proven that a lot can and must be done differently. We have seen that everyday life and work can shift towards online and remote, with a lot of advantages, maybe more than we thought,” de Vries says. “This development reflects in the innovations submitted. The entries this year show a greater innovation leap with more daring initiatives.”
