GreenTech Shifts to Fall, Will Continue as Hybrid In-Person and Online Event

Organizers of GreenTech Live & Online will once again present the conference in a hybrid format, and have moved the event from June 15-17, 2021 to Sept. 28- 30. RAI Amsterdam, as the event organizer, expects that GreenTech will be more feasible after the summer due to the openness to travel and the rollout of vaccination programs. The aim is to organize a high-quality, blended event that makes it possible to connect with the global horticulture community both physically and digitally.

“We recognize that no digital connection will replace the physical interaction, but having said that, virtual elements are here to stay,” says Mariska Dreschler, Director Horticulture – GreenTech. “The horticulture market is thriving, and knowledge sharing and innovations are key to stay on top of the wave. To provide these insights, we successfully organized a variety of online events during the pandemic period for our community that resulted in reaching new audiences, increasing engagement, and expanding our global community. We are committed to offering an alternative event this year, instead of our full physical show. We are looking forward to the spirit and energy of a blended event with visitors, exhibitors, and their solutions this September.”

The horticulture industry, Dreschler says, has an important role in the global health situation and in building a healthier society following the epidemic. Developments in the industry are still following at a rapid pace, and the demand for doing business and sharing knowledge is greater than ever.

RAI consulted with the industry and learned the expectation was that international travel will not be fully up to speed, resulted in the decision to conduct a hybrid event.
