Artificial intelligence (AI) is a hot topic at the moment (to put it mildly). However, because of the popularity of AI, it has become a marketing buzzword, being used everywhere and for everything. So, in what specific ways and methods can AI be used to improve your greenhouse operation?

American Floral Endowment‘s upcoming webinar on Tuesday, Feb. 11, 2025, an extra addition to its ongoing Grow Pro series, will cover the use of AI tools to create standard operating procedures (SOPs). Topics of the webinar will include:

How artificial intelligence can optimize workflows and improve operational efficiency.
How AI-driven solutions can reduce manual work and speed up SOP implementation.
How AI tools can create SOPs to increase the accuracy and customization of greenhouse production.
How to integrate AI into greenhouse management practices.

The featured speaker for “Using AI Tools to Create SOPs” is Aren Phillips, Greenhouse Systems Manager at Walters Gardens. Phillips received his bachelor’s in Environmental Science from Calvin University, as well as a Certificate of Greenhouse Management from Michigan State University. Prior to his work at Walters Gardens, Phillips worked at Spring Meadow Nursery, gaining experience in automation, propagation, and tissue culture. He is currently working on an ERP system streamlining project and developing analytical tools.
