2014 Field Trials Results: University Of Georgia Trial Gardens (Athens, Ga.)

Approximately 700 to 800 annuals and hundreds of perennials, along with roses, are trialed at the University of Georgia. Garden Supervisor Meg Green says the weather in early summer was pleasantly warm, but not too hot. The gardens had abundant rainfall through June, but afterward, the heat increased and the rains stopped. By August, the ground was parched, but Green says the gardens did receive an occasional rain. Most of the plants performed well during the summer.
