Let’s Tout the Benefits of Greenhouse Cannabis Production

I’ve seen a lot of headlines recently pushing the cannabis industry to move away from indoor warehouse-type production to outdoor cultivation because it’s more friendly to the environment: less carbon emissions, less energy use, etc.

For example, check out this article that ran last week on MSN.com. Long story short, it alleges that the cannabis industry has moved quickly to push for legalization without considering the environmental effects of cannabis cultivation.

What struck me about the article was that it virtually failed to address what I see as the best option: growing in a greenhouse, which offers protection from the elements, reduced pest pressure, and the ability to still take advantage of natural sunlight.
