Ageratum ‘Monarch Magic’, launched to garden retail in 2025 by Ball FloraPlant, has been a magnet for migrating Monarch Butterflies. To keep the enthusiasm for this new product a-flutter, the team has launched an online photo contest to help capture the pollinator activity and award random winners with prepaid digital gift cards.

The 2025 Monarch Magic Sweepstakes runs from Wednesday, Sept. 17, 2025, through Wednesday, Oct. 1, 2025, and is open to both the general public as well as the horticultural industry. Qualified submissions should contain photos and/or videos of monarch butterflies on or around Ageratum ‘Monarch Magic’ plants.

2025 Monarch Magic Sweepstakes – Entry Methods

Gardeners, growers, and retailers can enter the contest multiple times in three different ways:

  1. Tag @ball.floraplant in their social media posts on Instagram, Facebook, or LinkedIn with their butterfly images or videos.
  2. Comment with a photo upload on the Ball FloraPlant social accounts’ sweepstakes posts.
  3. Enter their information and upload photos directly into the online form here.

“Not only will the contest share the whimsical attraction that monarch butterflies have to our Ageratum ‘Monarch Magic’, but three lucky random winners will be selected to win $100 Visa gift cards,” says Stephanie Vincenti, Marketing Manager for Ball FloraPlant. “This plant has the full attention of these beautiful and active pollinators.
