The latest edition of Emerald Coast Growers’ new plant variety Resource Guide is now available. According to the Pensacola, FL-based company, more than 50 new perennials, plus new ornamental grasses and succulents have joined its collection this year.
“We continue to see creative uses and growth in ornamental grasses, from varieties to replace turf to increased activity in infertile breeding,” said Cheri Markowitz, Sales Manager, in a prepared news release. “Plus, natives continue to see lots of activity, with an ongoing effort to give native favorites more uniformity and more ornamental characteristics.”
Just a few highlights from the Resource Guide include:
- Miscanthus Red Cloud PPAF, already an award-winner in Europe;
- Pennisetum Yellow Ribbons, a brighter, lighter version of industry standard ‘Hameln’;
- Sedum ‘Atlantis,’ with unique coloration and habit that earned RHS Chelsea Flower Show Plant of the Year; and
- Veronica ‘Bubblegum Candles,’ a noted traffic-stopper with hot color and long bloom time
The print catalog complements Emerald Coast Growers’ online database, which includes current availability, descriptions, zones, culture, usage, and more.
