Greenhouse Grower Team Hits the Road in 2017
Our editorial team was out and about at several industry events this year. Here are just a few of the highlights, in case you missed any of them.
Evening of Excellence at Cultivate’17
Greenhouse Grower held its annual Evening of Excellence event on Monday, July 17, during Cultivate’17. The Greenhouse Grower Evening Of Excellence awards reception celebrates greenhouse operations and plant breeders that strive for excellence, and as to be expected, there was much of that to be found during the event.
A group of 23 leading greenhouse growers and 30 industry suppliers came together in Park City, UT, in October for three days of networking and one-on-one discussions geared toward solving problems and generating new ideas. But Greenhouse Grower’s 2017 GreenhouseConnect, held October 24-27, wasn’t all about business. The event offered plenty of opportunities for socializing and peer-to-peer networking when attendees weren’t in meetings.
California Spring Trials
The week-long trip up (or down) the California coast offered a glimpse at the hottest new varieties that will ultimately end up in consumers’ hands, as well as tips on how to market them effectively.
Biocontrols USA West 2017 Conference and Expo
The Biocontrols USA West 2017 Conference and Expo, held March 1-3 in Reno, NV, highlighted the high level of integration biocontrol is now experiencing among specialty crop growers.

More than 250 growers, crop consultants, researchers, and biological product suppliers gathered in Orlando, FL, for the Biocontrols USA East 2017 Conference & Expo Oct. 11-13, to learn more about incorporating this technology. It was the fourth U.S.-based event in Meister Media Worldwide’s Biocontrols Conference & Expo Series, but the first dedicated specifically to the needs of growers in the eastern half of the country.
