Registration is now open for one of the summer’s most popular events for anyone wishing to connect and network with the home gardening industry.
The 2017 All-America Selections (AAS) and National Garden Bureau (NGB) Summer Summit will take place Sept. 5-8, 2017, in Rochester, NY. The Summit, presented annually by AAS and NGB, is a chance for AAS judges, AAS Display Gardens, NGB members, breeders, brokers, growers, retailers, media and garden writers, and others to learn more about the two organizations, the trials they conduct, and local businesses of interest.
Following the summit, attendees will have the option to travel to New York’s Finger Lakes region to join the Home Garden Seed Association (HGSA) for its annual meeting.
Here’s a brief look at the festivities (more details on the itinerary and times will be available closer to the meeting date):
• Tuesday, September 5: Registration and a Welcome Reception at the Holiday Inn Rochester Downtown
• Wednesday, September 6: Tours of the Wegman’s Super Store, Harris Seeds’ trials and offices, Greentopia, Green Vision’s cut flower farm, and the annual AAS Awards Banquet
• Thursday, September 7: A trip to Canandaigua, NY, to meet up with HGSA for tours of Wegman’s Organic Farm, Bejo’s vegetable trials, and Sakata Seeds’ trials
