Greenhouse Grower to Grower Podcast: Abby Lange of Village Farms Fresh

Greenhouse Grower has entered the world of podcasts with the launch of our new “Greenhouse Grower to Grower” series. In the podcast, which will be delivered every other week, we talk to growers from across the controlled-environment industry about market trends, innovation, their biggest challenges and opportunities, and more.

The latest episode features Abby Lange, facility manager at Village Farms Fresh, a company that produces more than 100 million pounds of fresh produce a year, all from their greenhouses in Texas. Abby started with Village Farms as an intern more than eight years ago while pursuing a degree in Plant Science. She now manages 20 acres of tomatoes, and her wide range of responsibilities include managing the greenhouse climate, prioritizing maintenance activities, keeping the packhouse running as efficiently as possible, updating the company’s production forecast, and assisting in the training of personnel.
