Grower to Grower Podcast: Making Data-Driven Decisions, With N. Casertano Greenhouses
Greenhouse Grower’s Grower to Grower podcast brings you real conversations with the voices driving the future of floriculture. In every episode, we connect with the growers, leaders and innovators who are shaping smarter operations, sustainable growth, and breakthrough strategies. From advanced technology and next-gen plants to business challenges and changing consumer patterns, we dig into what it really means to grow.
For the team here at Greenhouse Grower, May means the Top 100 Growers. Throughout this month, we’ll be featuring conversations with members of our 2026 Top 100 Growers list, which you can learn more about in our May issue. This week, I’m joined by Mike Joy of N. Casertano Greenhouses, a third-generation perennial greenhouse located in Connecticut. Inventory management is a big priority at N. Casertano, and in this episode, Mike talks about how the company is constantly analyzing data on sales, market trends, and forecasting, and using all available resources to make informed decisions that help it to more accurately plan for the future. As Mike notes in our discussion, everything goes back to improving profitability and labor efficiency at a time when margins are tighter than ever.
