Three Free Keynotes. Each morning before the show floor opens, attendees can get energized with fresh retail strategies proven to power profit. This year brings New York Times Science columnist John Tierney, Washington, DC-based Chef and garden cookbook author Jonathan Bardzik, and Rutgers Gardens Director Bruce Crawford.

EIGC Show Disco-Retro Party & Concert featuring Gloria Gaynor. Tuesday evening’s free party and concert are a fun way to network. Disco Diva Gloria Gaynor takes the stage from 6:45-8:00 p.m., performing her beloved hits, including “I Will Survive.”

EIGC Show Monday Garden Center Tour. Get inspired during the garden center tour, which is held the day before the trade show opens. Onboard moderators reveal the best practices that put these IGC retailers on top in their market in Metro Philadelphia, then see firsthand what makes them so special as you explore each location.

Five tracks to independent garden center profits. Matt Britton, who specializes in selling to millennials, will lead Wednesday sessions, including “Who Are These Creatures We Call ‘Millennials’ & What Do They Want from Us?” “Create a Store Brand that Makes Millennial Consumers Want to Get to Know You” and “Your Garden Center’s Story Is the Key to Connections with Millennials – So Tell It.” Britton’s client list includes Microsoft, Visa, Proctor & Gamble and Nike, and he makes regular appearances on CNBC and in the pages for Forbes, the New York Times and The Wall Street Journal.
