D.S. Cole Growers Offers Slimline 52 Tray

To help grower customers save on freight, D.S. Cole Growers is introducing a 52-count strip in addition to its split 102 trays with liners offered in quantities of 51. The liners in the 52 strips will be spaced on Cole’s benches during the rooting process and then boxed to allow three times the normal amount of product in a shipping box. The price of the liner will be less and the freight will be about one third of the cost. There will be 312 liners in a shipping tray instead of 102. This allows grower customers to have the benefits of high density trays with lower minimums. For the coming year, D.S. Cole will focus on mainline products such as calibrachoas, petunias and verbenas for the Slimline 52 Tray program. To see the product, attend the open house in Loudon, N.H., on Aug. 4, or visit www.dscolegrowers.com/news.
