Ken Tran and Koidra Get the Tech Spotlight
Koidra, a Seattle-based startup, won the international Autonomous Greenhouse Challenge — its second time claiming the title — this summer. The contest was held at the Netherlands’ Wageningen University & Research, one of the the world’s top institutions for greenhouse food production.
What’s notable is that Koidra founder Kenneth Tran is new to farming and food production.
“I came to agriculture really from the technology and industrial control standpoint,” said Tran, who is Koidra’s CEO and Chief Technology Officer, in a recent profile on GeekWire.com.
