'Ignite' hypericum has beautiful blooms in the summer that turn into colorful fruit in the fall and combine with dark green foliage for a unique display. Hypericum thrives in the heat with high night temperatures, humidity and full sun. 'Ignite' is hardy to Zone 5 and can reach a height of 3 feet.
The Katz series is a new class of matthiola (stock) that delivers a shorter crop time, uniformity in flowering with the same length and timing between colors, good color range and better heat tolerance than traditional types. The Katz series features a pleasant fragrance and good vase life. Colors include: Cherry Blossom, Light Lavender, Light Pink and White.
The Celosia Sunday series is the first Celosia plumosa series with sufficient stem length in all colors. Developed as a greenhouse crop, it can also thrive in open-field production under the correct conditions. This series boasts long vase life and four colors.
From a three-color series of campanula medium, Campana is ideal for year-round production. With large short-stemmed flowers along tall spikes, Campanas have excellent vase life, transportability and top flowering.
Panicum 'Frosted Explosion' displays delicate-shaped airy sprays of green and offers a high yield percentage per plant. For both greenhouse and open field, 'Frosted Explosion' provides easy germination and emergence thanks to a high-quality seed.
The sister variety to Blue Glitter, the new E. planum 'White Glitter' can reach heights of 38 to 40 inches. 'White Glitter' has an abundance of white, pincushion-shaped flowers. Dense flower spikes allow 'White Glitter' versatility in both the vase and the landscape.
The well-known and trusted Benary's Giant Zinnia series has added another breathtaking color, wine. Benary's Giant Wine has deep burgundy flower petals that resemble the color of a rich merlot wine. Characterized by long, thick stems and a well branched habit, the Benary's Giant Zinnias have large, 4 to 5-inch fully double flowers.
Cinderella eustomas produce full bouquets of double flowers. Smaller leaves allow for excellent airflow. Cinderella is available in five colors and displays frilly blooms in a tight cluster at the top of each stem.
Opus snapdragons easily bloom for late spring, summer and early fall sales. This series features excellent flower quality, superior stem length and caliber, and long spikes with tightly spaced florets. Opus is lightly scented and is available in 14 vibrant colors and a mixture.
Takii now offers its gomphrena in more color choices with the introduction of the Audray series. Joining Audray Bicolor Rose are Pink and Purple Red. The series can be used both for fresh and dried arrangements. The Audray series can withstand hot and humid conditions.
New to Takii's Sunrich Sunflower series is Lemon Summer. It flowers five to 10 days earlier and the flower shape and color are identical to 'Sunrich Lemon.' Lemon Summer is suitable for spring to summer cultivation with sowing under long-day conditions. Plant height for Lemon Summer is 31 to 51 inches, and 15 to 20 percent shorter than 'Sunrich Lemon.'
Joining the existing five colors in the Arena series is III Champagne. The series features large and very double flowers on strong, sturdy stems. Arena exhibits less sensitivity to short stem length under long-day conditions and appears less sensitive to rosetting in plug cultivation. In addition to III Champagne, the series consists of: I Green, II White, III Pink, III Yellow and IV Rose.
Two new colors are being added to the single-flowered Vulcan series of lisianthus from Takii. II Champagne is a unique blend of apricot, pink and yellow tones. II Purple Picotee has a more uniform purple rim when compared to other purple picotee Lisianthus. The series also consists of II Pink Picotee and II White.
