Old tires were upcycled into a teacup-and-saucer planter filled with colorful annuals.

The deep burgundy coleus in the large white urn really pops against the bright colors of the surrounding hanging baskets.

Burgundy-and-white petunias combine with coral flowers and trailing foliage in one of the finished containers on display. I loved the play on color here!

Danziger’s DuraBella Hummingbird Haven mix brings three Colibri calibrachoa varieties to the base of this colorful combination. The salvias in the center add height and another hummingbird favorite.

Rows of rex begonias growing beneath mature trees gave visitors a closer look at individual varieties under shaded conditions.

Green Fuse Botanicals’ Shadow King ‘Lime Ricky’ rex begonia caught my eye with foliage that almost looks like someone took a silver Sharpie to it.

Green Fuse Botanicals’ Streptocarpus Ladyslippers ‘Blue Ice’ was among the flowering plants featured in the shaded portion of the display.

Beyond the display gardens, rows of plants provided a broader look at varieties growing outdoors.

Calibrachoa varieties were packed with blooms during my visit, showing off their full, rounded habits in the outdoor growing area.

Pell Greenhouses employees created mixed-container combinations for visitors to vote on during the Michigan Garden Plant Tour. This one got my vote.
