Grower to Grower Podcast: Kamron Newberry on Trade, Tariffs, Phytosanitary Issues, and More
Greenhouse Grower’s Grower to Grower podcast brings you real conversations with the voices driving the future of floriculture. In every episode, we connect with the growers, leaders and innovators who are shaping smarter operations, sustainable growth, and breakthrough strategies. From advanced technology and next-gen plants to business challenges and changing consumer patterns, we dig into what it really means to grow.
Kamron Newberry is the Regulatory and Trade Policy Coordinator for AmericanHort, which means he does a lot of work behind the scenes monitoring the constant shifts in trade and tariff policies that have become a defining pillar of the Trump administration. In my recent conversation with Kamron, we talk about how growers can make sure they have the information they need as they plan for the coming year, and we also discuss how AmericanHort tracks plant movement across the border and the phytosanitary issues that come with that. The good news is that Kamron’s background in horticulture prepared him well for his current role.
