Southern Garden Tour in June Will Include Young’s Plant Farm

Young’s Plant Farm, one of Greenhouse Grower’s Top 100 Growers for 2022, will be part of the 2022 Southern Garden Tour in celebrating 10 years of trials at its farm in Auburn, AL, this summer. Young’s will host members of the floriculture industry at its 10th Annual Trial Garden Open House event and garden tour on June 7.

Young’s is delighted to be a part of the Southern Garden Tour which makes stops at greenhouses’ summer trials across the Southeast. Additional stops include the University of Georgia in Athens, GA, on June 8 and Metrolina Greenhouses in Huntersville, NC, on June 9.

The Trial Garden features 432 individual varieties, combination landscape beds, 56 hanging baskets, and 180 combinations planters. This year, additions to the heat-tolerant selections include new varieties of lantana, hibiscus, angelonia, and SunPatiens – each evaluated weekly by Young’s Research and Development team based on several performance metrics in order to ensure the highest success potential for consumers who purchase future product from regional garden centers.
