Star Roses’ Varieties Win at the 2026 American Rose Trials
Star® Roses and Plants has announced that four of its roses have won awards from The American Rose Trials for Sustainability® (A.R.T.S.®) program, which identifies the most sustainable, hardy, pest-resistant, and beautiful rose cultivars for use in American landscapes and gardens.
The winning roses from Star Roses and Plants are:
Buttercream Drift®
Buttercream Drift. | Star Roses and Plants
Buttercream Drift displays creamy yellow blooms. Its compact size, disease resistance, and abundant blooming make it a reliable groundcover rose for the landscape.
Veranda® Fiesta
Veranda Fiesta has a bright flower color, which contrasts with its dark-green, glossy foliage. It is extremely floriferous and performs well in containers or as a low hedge.
Raspberry Cupcake™
Raspberry Cupcake. | Star Roses and Plants
Raspberry Cupcake performs well on its own roots, has great resistance to mildews and rust, and stands up to black spot on the East Coast. The deeply fragrant, pink blooms will rebloom throughout the season.
Top Cream™
Top Cream. | Star Roses and Plants
Top Cream is a Hybrid Tea with large, old-fashioned blooms that are extremely fragrant with notes of earthy pear. Its abundant petals are creamy-white with an occasional light pink blush depending on season and climate.
All roses entered into A.R.T.S.® are evaluated under low input conditions using data on the presence of disease and pests, flowering, foliage, plant form, growth habit, and general health. To win an award, roses must prove they are resilient on their own merits without being sustained by repeated fertilizer applications or chemical sprays, and are based on the regional performance data collected during the trial cycle.
