Cultivate Tours to Highlight Perennials, Orchids, New Technology, and More

The Green Circle tour features a glimpse into the company’s highly technological orchid and ornamental production facilities.

Attendees of Cultivate’19, presented by AmericanHort, have a great opportunity to increase their knowledge and enhance their overall show experience by attending any of the tours that will take place on Saturday, July 13. The tours have a separate registration fee to participate.

In addition to the Research and Innovation Tour of Scotts Miracle-Gro, other tour options include:
Garden Retail Tour: Join other grower-retailers to uncover best practices for engaging consumers, promoting plants, and growing the bottom line during a tour of White Oak Gardens, Delhi Gardens, and Berns Garden Center. Over the course of a day, (which includes lunch), attendees will be able to see what each of these garden centers is doing to stay relevant and successful, and see how each store manages individualized products, specialties, and different customer bases.
Greenhouse Production Tour: On this tour, you will see two large production facilities in the Cleveland, OH, area: Corso’s Perennials, which supplies box stores like Lowe’s and Home Depot with a variety of perennials, and Green Circle Growers, an industry leader whose Just Add Ice Orchids are well-known across the nation. The Green Circle tour features a glimpse into the company’s highly technological orchid and ornamental production facilities.
Nursery Production Tour: The first stop on this tour is the Ohio Agricultural and Research Development Center in Wooster, OH, where tour-goers will see a demonstration of a new, cutting-edge water and fertilizer injection system for nurseries. From there, they will travel north to Willoway Nurseries to see how the injector system has been integrated into Willoway’s operations. Attendees will also tour the grounds at both Willoway Nursery and Davis Tree Farm and Nursery to learn more about their tree and shrub production.
