Gertrud Pöppelmann Dies At 84

Mrs. Gertrud Pöppelmann passed away on April 18 at the age of 84.
The Pöppelmann Group was founded by her husband Josef Pöppelmann in 1949. She was very involved in the company, and when her husband died in 1983, Mrs. Pöppelmann continued the company as its managing director. She managed with the help of her brother-in-law, Karl-Heinz Diekmann, and remained in this position until 1997, when she became a member of the advisory board for the company until her death.
Pöppelmann was a woman who was committed to her company and used kindness and care in communicating with the company’s 1400 employees. She truly shaped the Pöppelmann Group’s compassionate spirit.
The Pöppelmann Group currently produces plastic products for over 70 countries throughout the world from its plants in Lohne (Germany), Rixheim (France), and Claremont, N.C.
