BioWorks Welcomes Bill Rietkerk as a Senior Biological Solutions Advisor for the Horticulture Market

BioWorks has appointed Bill Rietkerk as Senior Biological Solutions Advisor for Horticulture. In his new position, Bill will lead the company’s strategic push into the specialty agriculture sector.

Prior to joining BioWorks, Bill built and implemented integrated pest management (IPM) protocols for a variety of horticultural and agricultural crops, including strawberries, sweet peppers, cannabis, almonds, Ipomoea, and gerberas. Bill has also performed PCA responsibilities on 100–800+ acres of sweet peppers, providing all chemical fungicide, pesticide, and biological recommendations across four crops. Additionally, he participated in numerous R&D trials and product development/assessment projects in strawberries, sweet peppers, cut flowers, cannabis, and almonds.

Atticus has appointed Jon Boljesic to the newly created position of Chief Legal Officer. This move demonstrates Atticus’s commitment to build not just a good, but a great company — responsible, strategically aligned, and focused on unlocking new areas of growth while defending what’s already been built. In his role, Jon will bring together cross-functional and legal expertise to drive competitive advantage, elevate industry engagement, and position Atticus for long-term, sustainable success.

Jon joins Atticus as a strategic legal leader in the pesticide industry. Most recently, he served as General Counsel at Envu, where he led a global team and held responsibility for all legal and compliance matters across the organization. Prior to his time at Envu, Jon held several roles at Bayer CropScience. He began his legal career in private practice, where he focused primarily on patent litigation before federal courts, the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, and the International Trade Commission.

Jon earned his B.S.E. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Michigan and a J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law. He and his wife, Vinca, have three daughters: Nina (4), Clara (2), and Ella (7 months). In his spare time, Jon enjoys Michigan football, reading, cooking, and attempting to golf.

EHR Welcomes Bob Munroe

EHR (Eason Horticultural Resources) has announced that Bob Munroe has joined its national sales team, where he will be servicing customers throughout Michigan and Northern Indiana. With more than 30 years of experience in the green industry, Bob brings a deep passion for both plants and people, making him a great fit for EHR’s customer-focused mission.

In his new role, Munroe will be providing tailored solutions and sharing his strong horticultural knowledge to help clients grow their businesses. “Joining EHR is an exciting opportunity to work with some of the industry’s finest operators,” says Munroe. “I’ve always believed that great service begins with genuine relationships, and I’m looking forward to helping nursery businesses thrive.”

Bob is an active member of the Michigan Nursery & Landscape Association (MNLA) and currently serves as Director-at-Large for the Southeast Michigan Nursery and Landscape Association. His commitment to industry advancement and community involvement has made him a trusted partner and resource for growers, landscapers, wholesalers, and retailers across the state.

A lifelong Michigander, Bob and his wife Angela enjoy spending time outdoors and exploring the natural beauty of the state. With their grown children now pursuing their own paths, they share their home with their two dogs and enjoy their free time exploring nature. Bob has spent many years coaching youth and high school basketball, as well as CYO teams. Bob enjoys spending time at the gym as well as out in the woods, especially during hunting season.
