Greenhouse Grower has entered the world of podcasts with the launch of our new “Greenhouse Grower to Grower” series. In the podcast, which will be delivered every other week, we talk to growers from across the controlled-environment industry about market trends, innovation, their biggest challenges and opportunities, and more.
Our April issue features a heavy focus on perennials, from new varieties to production tips. In the issue, we also addressed marketing trends, what consumers are looking for in new plants, and how growers and breeders are responding. This gave me the chance to sit down with Justin Wisniewski and Kris Smith at Aris Horticulture and Must Have Perennials. We talked about everything from the growth of first-year flowering varieties, to how growers can better engage with consumers.
