Purdue and Indiana University Offer Dual Degree Program in Agricultural Law

A career in horticulture doesn’t always mean physical labor. Many jobs take people out of the greenhouse and into the office. And in this case, this education opportunity takes you into the courtrooms.

Those looking to work in horticulture but are put off by physical labor can look to agricultural law. Purdue University, in a partnership with Indiana University (IU)’s Robert H. McKinney’s School of Law, will offer the first ever dual degree program in agricultural law.

The program will offer both a Master of Science in Agricultural Economics from Purdue University as well as a Master of Jurisprudence from IU McKinney.

Students will complete 21 credit hours, which Purdue will offer mostly online with three periods of in-person residency. Students will complete the remaining 15 credit hours through IU McKinney. Classes will be taught in the evening, online, and hybrid.

Both universities are accepting applications now. The deadline for Purdue is March 1 while McKinney’s deadline is May 1.
