Daisy Torch From Desert Steel
"Desert Steel has added to their torch line some new flower torches that look like a white or orange daisy, which are super fun and colorful. The other small flower torches and birdfeeders in this line have sold well for us so was happy to see this line extended. I saw this at IGC Show."

Flower Pot Mugs From Divinity Boutique
"The Flower Pot Mug from Divinity Boutique, LLC, is just adorable. Looks like a flower pot but it is a mug with attached shovel as a spoon."

Evergreen Branches from Peace of Mind Nursery
We are really liking the unique evergreen cuttings that Peace of Mind Nursery in Oregon is doing. They are taking cuttings from their stock and selling them to garden centers and florists for arrangements. We use them in our holiday porch pots and they really help set our pots out from the competition. They make each one unique.

Avocado Soap And Lotion Caddy From Michel Design Works
"We are carrying a line of soaps and lotions distributed by Michel Design Works. They come in different flavors, Lemon and basil combo, Avocado, Shea butter, etc. They are made in England and distributed world- wide. They are soothing to gardener’s hands and smell great."

Hydretain Lawn Hydration Product
"We do like the new Hydretain product. A few of our staff have used it and it seems to work well on lawns in times of drought. The grass is greener when the product is used versus adjacent plots with no product used."

Animal Statuary from Mayrich
"We had a few antique looking metal animal statues this spring distributed by Mayrich. They flew out of here and ended up on display in the customer’s gardens. Very unique designs and well done."

Indoor Display From Espoma
"First is the free standing display of new indoor plant care products from Espoma. I saw it for the first time when it was featured in the Arett Sales eMarket on-line marketplace back in June. It is a complete organic line of houseplant care products, with their easy-dose technology that simplifies feeding of plants. Clever packaging and upgrades to older products currently in use, are my reasons for stocking the display."

Printed Canvas Botanic Print Line
"I saw this adorable greeting card & botanical print line at the IGC Show by Printed Canvas. They have some really great floral prints, all reproductions of original artwork. I like them because they are a nice add on for gifts that are bought in the store. I also like to make sure that everything in the store relates back to the garden somehow which these accomplish as well."

Pyramid Display from RW Rogers
I liked some of the barnwood produce orchard bins on wheels from RW Rogers that I would like to have for the apples we sell from our orchard.

Sunlight Supply Indoor Gardening Line (Seen At Homestead Gardens)
I saw the range of plant-starting and indoor-lighting products from Sunlight Supply in their exhibit at Cultivate, and their entire line when I attended the open house at Homestead Gardens. The indoor gardening category is really blowing up and I know we will be expanding our offerings quite a bit in the future.

Top Land Trading's Fairy Gardening Collection
We placed a decent sized miniature gardening order with Top Land Trading. We have been cutting back in fairy stuff lately, but Top Land has had some great new stuff lately, and it is well made.

Tree Diaper With Its Meter (Zynnovation)
The Tree Diaper is similar to a tree gator watering vessel, but this one refills itself when it rains, which eliminates one more step to sucessful tree growing

Ups A Daisy From Bloem
Ups A Daisy is great. It has a plastic disc that is inserted in a large pot so that the consumer does not have to put dirt in the entire pot. Love this product! Looking to expand our offering come spring.

Vintage Wine Planter From Terra Products
Two retailers picked this line of products from Terra Products:
I especially liked the rustic mason jars and wine bottle planters because they are a very unique pottery line. We really strive to try and have things in the store that people will marvel at and be different from other garden centers around us. We've also really seen a huge demand in our area for repurposed and old looking items.
Melissa Peterson, Ted Lare Design Build and Garden Center, Cumming, IAI like the wine ceramic half planters. There are three sizes to choose from. I found them along with themed pottery: Honey pots, harvest pots, milk jugs, old fashioned themed pottery. They were a big seller last year, sold out twice.

EZ Vane Weathervanes
My second pick at Farwest is the metal weather-vanes from EZ Vane, which were in the Garden Gallery Ironworks booth. They have cute artwork.

Braun's Book And Luggage Planter Collection
If I had to pick one new thing for next year related to gardening, it would have to be the new planters from Braun that look like old books and luggage. They should make some cool succulent planters. I like them because we are always looking for fun new planters to get people talking, and I think these will do just that.

Territorial Seeds
My fav thing was meeting the Territorial Seeds gals and making the connection to bring them into my store. Obviously, gardeners love their seeds and so do we. I like this line because of the unique product mix. They have a great reputation in direct marketing, too, so lots of brand recognition. It's a big decision to switch away from companies that we have had in store for years. Times a changin'.....
