John Hewett has been appointed as the retail category manager of ornamentals for the U.S. market. Hewett brings 20 years of retail sales management experience to the U.S. and Canada, with emphasis in consumer and professional products. He has held national account responsibilities for Walmart, Kmart, The Home Depot, Lowe's, Sherwin Williams and various hardware co-ops.
Peter van Noort has assumed the role of trans-Atlantic product manager for cut flowers and is based in The Netherlands. Van Noort adds to the Sakata team his solid experience in the global cut flower business, including the key markets of Europe and Africa. He has held various positions within Florensis. Most recently he acted as sales representative, grower advisor and product manager for key cut flower crops like lisianthus and celosia at Dutch-based company Combinations. Van Noort will work across the European and North and South American markets to support Sakata's cut flower assortment.
