Fleurizon International Celebrates Its 20th Anniversary

Founded on Oct. 26th, 2006, by Frank de Greef, Fleurizon International began with a vision to supply professional growers worldwide with high-quality plant starter materials, innovative varieties, and dependable service. With more than 30 years of horticultural experience, Frank combined his passion for plants, industry knowledge, and international relationships to establish a company that would grow into a global horticultural supplier.

Initially specializing in bedding plants and perennial cuttings, Fleurizon expanded into specialty products such as Plumeria, rare cacti, succulents, and tropical plants. This approach established Fleurizon as a trusted source for distinctive varieties offering growers new commercial opportunities.

In 2008, Fleurizon began its international expansion by hiring its first European sales representative. Growth continued throughout Europe and the U.S., including the addition of a Florida-based representative and the introduction of foliage materials shipped by sea container. Today, with more than nine sales representatives worldwide, Fleurizon serves professional growers across numerous international markets.

Over the years, Fleurizon’s product portfolio has expanded considerably. Specialty products include Adenium, Agave, Aloe vera, Albuca spiralis ‘Frizzle Sizzle’, Helleborus, Curcuma, Colocasia, Canna, and Plumeria. Rare cactus varieties, grafted cacti, caudex plants, and unusual tropical foliage further demonstrate the company’s commitment to diversification.

Innovation continues to drive Fleurizon’s development. Unique introductions such as Cortaderia selloana ‘Tiny Pampa’, a compact ornamental grass, demonstrate the company’s dedication to identifying products with strong commercial potential. Expanding selections of tissue culture liners and specialized young plants provide additional opportunities for growers seeking distinctive, high-quality starting materials.

An increasingly important part of Fleurizon’s future is expanding its sea container shipping programs. By strengthening partnerships with international producers, the company aims to offer greater product diversity, competitive pricing, and economical transportation solutions for growers purchasing larger quantities.

Looking ahead, Fleurizon sees exciting opportunities in emerging consumer trends, including drought-tolerant plants, low-maintenance houseplants, tropical flowering varieties, and unusual collector plants. Expanding into new geographic markets, identifying products for specific consumer demographics, and introducing innovative varieties will remain central to the company’s growth strategy.

Equally important is Fleurizon’s commitment to continuously improving plant quality, supplier cooperation, communication, and customer service. Despite its international expansion, the company remains dedicated to the personal relationships and horticultural expertise upon which it was founded.

As Fleurizon celebrates its 20th anniversary in October 2026, this milestone represents two decades of innovation, determination, and successful partnerships. With an expanding international network and ambitious vision, Fleurizon looks confidently toward the future.
