2022 Top 100 Greenhouse Growers: The Complete List

It was another year of strong growth for the nation’s largest ornamental greenhouse operations. Fueled by continued interest in gardening among consumers, and more people looking to add beauty to their homes, almost 25% of the growers on Greenhouse Grower’s 2022 Top 100 Growers list grew in size this year. In some cases, the growth was massive.

Among the most common crops grown, nearly 75% of growers either increased or maintained their production of annuals, and the numbers were similar for container perennials, flowering potted plants, tropicals and houseplants, and plugs and propagation materials.

This year, labor cost and availability once again ranked as the top overall business concerns. Right behind that, however, was the supply chain, closely followed by transportation issues and production costs.
