California Greenhouse Lettuce Grower Plans an Expansion to Georgia

Pete’s, a hydroponic lettuce growing facility based in California, plans to invest $18 million in a new facility in Warner Robins, GA.

“Agriculture is our top industry, and Pete’s will bring another game-changing, innovative, and sustainable indoor farming facility to Georgia as we continue to feed the world from the Peach State,” Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp says. “Georgia’s number one business climate, top-notch logistics network, and commitment to innovation continue to attract jobs and opportunities for hardworking Georgians, and I thank Pete’s for investing in Peach County and the surrounding region.”

Pete’s plans to use 24 acres of land in Robins International Industrial Park to fulfill its need for retail and foodservice partners.

This expansion will open 15 new jobs. Pete’s is currently looking to fill the following positions:

  • General Manager
  • Production
  • Growing
  • Logistics
  • Food Safety
  • Office Manager
  • General Administrative Roles
