After completing internships at The New York Botanical Garden and The Arnold Arboretum, Roberts worked as an ornamental grower for 13 seasons, where he became an early adopter of the use of beneficial insects in the greenhouse. He returned to studies at the University of Rhode Island where he earned his Masters in Sustainable Agriculture and Food Systems. Roberts later joined Biobest Group NV as a Biological Crop Specialist where he developed biological programs for controlled environment agricultural (CEA) crops and participated as a cannabis specialist for the Biobest North America technical team, Biobest International IPS team, and the International Cannabis Core Crop Group.

“Elwood brings valuable industry connections, insights, and experience in ornamentals and CEA. He is a wealth of knowledge and a welcomed addition to the Griffin GGSPro team,” says Rick Yates, GGSPro Technical Specialist Manager for Griffin.

“I am proud to join a team that has so many enthusiastic and motivated employees and who offers best-in-class technical solutions for our customers to enhance crop quality and profitability,” Roberts says.
