Inc.com: Erratic Sales and Customer Behaviors, Edibles Rise in Post-Coronavirus Cannabis World

With the Covid-19 pandemic in full swing, every industry is feeling pain. However, the cannabis industry has a unique set of challenges – as well as opportunities – in this crisis, writes cannabis consultant Bruce Eckfeldt for Inc.com.

In the piece, Eckfeldt predicts erratic sales revenues, changing buyer behaviors, a continued rise in edible and infused-products demand, as well as more CBD going forward for the legal cannabis industry. He also notes a sad reality of the crisis – quite a few cannabusinesses likely won’t make it to the other side of this, whether they simply go out of business or are gobbled up by larger, better positioned competitors.

Not all doom-and-gloom, though, as Eckfeldt notes “(COVID-19) also creates opportunities…those who are in a good financial position to weather the storm, and who can pivot their business to take advantage…will go on to grow quickly and dominate the new industry.”
