Two Great Ways to Support Seed Your Future This Month
Floriculture industry members who want to support Seed Your Future (SYF) have two great opportunities this month. The first opportunity, the #IAmHorticulture social media campaign, runs through July 17. There are two meaningful ways to help:
- Participate directly. Record a short video about your horticulture career, include the phrase “I am horticulture,” and post it with #IAmHorticulture tagging @SeedYourFuture.
- Spread the word. Share the campaign with your networks and encourage your colleagues, employees, and industry contacts to participate. The more people who hear about it, the bigger the impact.

“Every video shared is a direct investment in the next generation of horticulture professionals,” says Jazmin Albarran, Executive Director of Seed Your Future. “Students are watching and the more voices they hear from, the more they can see themselves in this industry.”
The second opportunity takes place on June 24. “The Gardener,” an independent film selling out in theaters across the country, is going to give SYF 20% of the proceeds from a one-night virtual screening. It’s a heartfelt story about a woman who finds herself through nature, plants and with the help of a mysterious gardener. The nationwide one-night virtual screening takes place on June 24, and Seed Your Future is an affiliate partner, meaning every ticket sold through the affiliate link puts money into the organization.
