American Floral Endowment recently awarded 15 horticulture students with scholarships totaling $42,300.

The two industry-leading organizations are working together to support the Floriculture and Nursery Research Initiative.

Seven students have been selected to receive paid internships through the American Floral Endowment’s Internship Programs.

The Forum brings together diverse floricultural communities to address critical issues, form collaborative relationships, and improve communication within the American floriculture industry.

The 2nd Annual #FlowerLoveVideoContest, which aims to inspire creative videos from anyone who loves growing, receiving, or giving flowers, kicks off Oct. 1.

Each week between now and the end of the year, American Floral Endowment will post a new video promoting flowers.

The event takes place March 2-4, and will feature tours of local floriculture operations, as well as discussions from industry leaders.

Between now and December 1, any donations made to the American Floral Endowment will be matched up to $20,000.

The American Floral Endowment is accepting applications for its Vic and Margaret Ball Intern Scholarship Program and Mosmiller Intern Scholarship Program until Oct 1. Interested companies can apply anytime to become a host employer.

From July 10 to Aug. 18, contributions made to AFE will be matched dollar-for-dollar by Sakata (which is celebrating its 40th anniversary in North America) up to $10,000.

Four students pursuing careers in horticulture now have scholarships to help them along the way, thanks to the American Floral Endowment.

AFE recently announced that it has received a $100,000 contribution from Egon and Laina Molbak, the founders and long-time owners of Molbak’s Garden + Home outside of Seattle.
