On Feb. 4, the green industry lost one of its most dynamic young leaders with the passing of Mandy Gerace of Welby Gardens and Syngenta Flowers.

An earlier than usual season meant more maintenance and plant trimming at this Top 100 Colorado operation. But the team worked hard to make sure several plants stood out.

“I love getting up every day and going to work,” said Gerace in accepting the award, which was presented during Greenhouse Grower’s Medal of Excellence awards program.
