Altman Plants Plugs in to Power up its Production Capacity

Altman Plants is furthering automation of its greenhouse growing facilities via new equipment from TTA USA LLC. According to TTA officials, the latest investment/expansion allows Altman to achieve a higher production capacity, decrease labor costs, and improve the quality of its plantings.

TTA and Altman Plants have had a partnership for several years now. Altman’s latest order with TTA consists of four PackPlanter Wireless Split 48’s with gripper cleaning stations and automatic tray loading systems. The high-speed equipment can accommodate up to 60,000 plugs per hour and features individual driven plant grippers.

The new equipment is slated to be in operation sometime around November.
